Here’s what you can do to keep your trailer in premium condition until you can get in at Smith Springs:
- Check your tires. Be sure to check for air leaks, deflation, one-sided wear, and worn treads. Also check to make sure you still have a spare tire handy on your vehicle.
- Check on your trailer’s air tank.
- Inspect the hydraulic and air lines.
- Check for any signs of wear and tear, such as cracks and dents.
- Check the trailer’s mud flaps for dirt, and test to make sure they are still securely in place.
- Ensure all back lights are in proper working order.
- Use a mirror on the inside lip of the outside and undercarriage to ensure all equipment is clean and in working order.
- Test the back locking mechanisms, bolts, and rivets to make sure they are in top shape and that all hinges are secure.
- Check for cleanliness and loose panels inside the back of the trailer.
